Fort Yargo State Park is a 1,816-acre state park and natural refuge in Winder, Georgia, 12 miles South of Braselton. There is a 260-acre lake with a public beach* and 20.5 miles of multi-use recreational trails. Tour a 1792 log fort built by settlers for protection against Creek and Cherokee Indians.
Camping
The park offers tent, trailer, and RV campsites, recently renovated cottages and even “glamping” yurt reservations.
